I know there’s a simple solution to this, but I can’t find it and it’s driving me crazy. I have one blank page I don’t want in a 200 page MS that I’m compiling to pdf to upload to Amazon. At the end of the page before the blank is a blue vertical line like this “|” that I can’t delete. I believe that is the problem. Does anybody have a suggestion? Thanks, Ben.
Yeah, that blue bar symbol indicates a manual page break has been inserted into the document, that would definitely cause a blank page. I’m not sure why you cannot delete it however. If this was originally imported from another word processor, maybe the formatting is just jammed up in the document. I would try creating a substitute from scratch. Try creating a new document, then select all of the text from the original one, excluding the blue bar, and paste that into the new document. Remove the old one and see if that clears up the problem.
Thanks, AmberV. Yeah, I finally figured out the line was a page break that I made and was suppose to be there. But there wasn’t supposed to a blank page after it. I compiled it several times and the blank page disappeared. Don’t know why, but I’ll take it. Thanks for the response.
