Grateful help with my issue - am using v3.1.6 in Windows.
Was trying out different ways to include a timeline in Custom Metadata and I’ve accidentally added multiple instances of the little calendars that show up in Inspector under Custom Metadata - the ones where it says you can “right-click the date time field for more options”.
Hi all (again)
I worked it out, so apologies for the unnecessary question.
For future reference if anyone has same problem: as per normal for removing custom metadata fields, you:
Click on the three dots on the right of the Custom Metadata heading - the “Project Settings” pop up opens.
Go to the Custom Metadata tab, if this doesn’t open automatically (it should I think).
Go to the blank lines (assuming you, like me, have not actually entered a date) - this is why I couldn’t work out what was going on.
The drawback of the customised dates is you once you enter one, you can’t restore an entry to blank.
For example, I date and time when my scenes start, for an overview of when they take place. At times, I type the details in the Chapter folder by mistake, which is redundant.
The only way around that is to create a new folder and move the scenes in there and delete the former folder.
There is in fact a way to clear a date: right-click on the field and select “Clear”. You just can’t do it in bulk (but this is true of most metadata types).
