Can't open Extras-pack.zip

My Mac, macOS Sequoia 15.2 can’t open the extras-pack.zip archive. Any suggestions?

I should have said, the extractor utility says the file is in an invalid format.

Which one are you using?

Both macOS’ built-in unarchiver and Keka worked just fine for me.

Did you already try to download the archive again?

Yes, I did try multiple (three) downloads, and the built-in unarchiver utility failed. I haven’t tried any others. I’m not inclined to use a utility that costs money for the purpose of opening one zip file, but thanks for the trip.

Mac Paw’s The Unarchiver also failed to accomplish the task. I have to be suspicious of the initial .zip file.

What file size has the archive on your hard disk? This may sound like a weird question, but sometimes browsers just place an (empty) token file there until you approve the “unsafe” download.

Yes, to ensure the download completed successfully, if you select ‘extras-pack.zip’ in your Downloads folder, and press ⌘I to “Get Info”, it should read that the size of it is 842,011 bytes, in the top section.

If you want to take an extra step at it, the md5 checksum for the zip, on the server, is ‘410c0a633779678de2b54e0f28dde949’. You can confirm this by opening Terminal.app, and typing:

md5sum ~/Downloads/extras-pack.zip

Hmm. It shows a file size of zerow bytes. That’s unusual, my browsers, Safari, Duck Duck Go and TOR usually assume I know what I’m doing when I download a zip file and just dump it into my downloads folder.

But I just downloaded it again, or I guess for the first time, since now it has a sizew of 842K and it unzips just fine.

Thanks to everyone.
Cheers,
