In Corkboard Options–>Cards Across, it stays the same no matter which number you choose. Occasionally it will randomly change (for example to two across), usually when restarting Scrivener, but when I try to specify a number, no change. This is a relatively small thing, but still annoying. In the earlier version, I always liked being able to adjust this as the number of cards increased.
This seems to still be an issue.
Cards Across works fine with “Size to Fit Editor” checked, but otherwise does nothing.
You’ll have to combine this setting with the checkboxes in the same pesky dialog to achieve good results
Both Size to window and Wrap are possible this way.
Yes, the same annoying problem remains unaddressed two years after I pointed it out. I liked being able to organize my cards easily with this feature in the old version. Not sure why fixing it should be such a big deal.
When I change the “Cards Across” setting in the Corkboard Options menu, nothing happens. I still have 8 cards in each row, and that’s too many to make it useful.
Hi.
You need to check the option at the bottom.
I’m not sure to what extent it makes sense that it doesn’t work without (perhaps a bug?) but it works once checked.
I suppose that it is because it needs to override user defined card size.
You could get away with displaying 4 cards where 6 would fit, but not 6 where otherwise only 4 would fit. (?) So both are made not possible for simplicity’s sake. (…?)
I have the same problem. Cards across will change the number of cards across in Mac, but the same action will not work in Windows.
If I select “Size to fit editor,” it kinda works (I select 3 across and it shows 2 across).
The Mac version works as expected, showing the number of cards across I choose, and Size to fit editor is not selected.
Yes, this is a bug that has been known of and documented for quite some time. I have merged the duplicate report you found, into the “original”, to keep things cleaner.
