I’ve just changed to the latest version of Scrivener on Windows 11. Loving it so far, but I can’t figure out how to change the taskbar icon on Windows 11. I tried replacing the icon file in the resources folder of the app, but that doesn’t appear to have done anything. Any ideas?
I don’t actually mind the current icon that much - I originally made one to replace the old yin/yang one - but it’s a slight niggle and I hate that I can’t figure it out!
The “traditional” Windows way:
- Right-click the icon in the taskbar
- Then right-click again on Scrivener
- Then click on Properties
- Click on the button that says “Change icon”, you might have to browse through the various tabs of the Properties dialog to find this button
- Then point to the icon resource you want
It did work on my Win11, but only after I restarted my machine.
No I take it back - I misread what you put! This worked perfectly, thank you!
You are welcome. Glad to hear it worked.
