Change highlight in Binder after jumping to text via Search

In Scrivener 3.1.5.1, when I click on a chapter title in Binder view, I see nice blue highlighting, which extends out to the left past chapter titles and makes it very easy to see where I am in the document.

By contrast, when I click in the title/search box above the main document, search for a word, and then click one of the links in that search box, I now jump to a new spot in the document and the indication in the Binder is a relatively understated light tan highlighting of the chapter I’m now in. How can I change that color in the Binder (specifically the highlight color used when I navigate to a spot in the document through the Search function, which I do frequently)?

Hi mosk. You might see if altering the color setting used in File > Options > Appearance > Binder > Colors > Search Results Background gives you the results you’d prefer.

Hi RuthS. I tried that, but it just turns the entire Search Results Background to the new color.

What I’m looking for is a way to change the highlighting in my binder section to something that stands out (Red for example) and corresponds to whatever chapter I’m in in the main window of document view.

A lot of times I’ll use the search feature to find a word or a name and then click on the hyperlink in the search box to jump to that spot in my manuscript (which has many chapters). I use color labels in my Binder to represent different POV characters, and the slight darkening of the color after jumping to a new chapter through the search window just isn’t enough to readily catch my eye.

What I typically do is use the Navigate > Reveal in Binder command after my search. That command extends the highlighting to the left of the document’s title, which makes it a little easier to pick out of the mix.

When you really want a different color, you might do that in a custom Theme…
