I use the Paperback 6x9 format, but I want to change the font size and line spacing. So I’ve duplicated and a new format . I go to the Stryles menu. I select body text. I change the font size to 14 and the line spacing to 1.2. I Click on Save (bottom right). Then I click Compile. The collie happens. BUT the font is the same. I’ve read the related posts and tried to follow advice, but it doesn’t work for me. Please help. I need to upload this new novel to Lulu.com very soon. Thanks for your attention.
What format are you Compiling to? PDF, or something else? Do you see the same results in other formats (RTF? Word?)
Are you in fact using a body text Style in the manuscript? (Which we don’t recommend, by the way.)
Compiling to? PDF.
Body text Style? No sticking to No Style.

If you don’t have a Style in the text, then changing it in the Compile command won’t do anything. Instead, use the formatting preview for the Section Layout you’ve assigned. Be sure to check the “override” box below the preview.

OK. That worked. Thank you. - Rob
