Is there a way to change the size of the tab-indents? As it is right now, my tab-indents are about 11-12 characters in width. I’d really like to change it so that tab-indents are only 4 characters wide (using a monospace font).
You should be able to play with the little triangles on the ruler at the top to control indents. Though there are some quirks. Because they had to implement an RTF parser from scratch, a lot of the text formatting is still rough and half-worky.

I don’t know if you already solved this. But I had the same problem recently, and found that if I just write, without any tabing -just as a normal document/text- I would be able to choose whatever tabulation using this sequence:
Format - Paragraph - Tab / Idents.
It will open a new menu that you could work specifficaly with any choosen piece of text.
I’m using Scrivener in Windows.
