I thought I’d test direct-to-ODT and LibreOffice, and the footnotes
[1](but not markers) are styled, though in this case the number is superscripted, the period is not:
A wishlist item could be made to try to standardise the DOCX/RTF/ODT output, ideally to be styled for both footnote markers and text…
