Compile Looses Italics

Hello everyone,

I’m not sure what I am doing wrong, but I lose italics when I compile for some reason. I tend to use italics when writing a character’s thoughts. I just tried to compile a short story into manuscript format, and my character’s thoughts look like normal text.

Have you given the text in question a “Body” or “Normal” style? If so, any italics or bold within is likely to be overridden at compile (depending on your compile format and Section Layout assigned).

Also, does the font you’re compiling to include an italic version?

I’m not sure. I’ve only used the compile feature once. I have only been using Scrivener for two months. I’ll check.
