Compiling for epub/kindle: missing chapters

More compiling woes. :smiling_face_with_tear:

I’m trying to compile for epub or kindle, but upon compiling, the final file is missing A LOT of chapters. It’s even showing that my word count is 34k when the final word count is 117k.
The chapter number is there, but there is no copy. (chapter titles are missing in kindle, and chapter numbers are missing in epub ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I’ve compiled for pdf and docx with no issue, so I’m not sure where the disconnect is happening. The missing chapters are not labelled differently, everything is checked in the compile window…what is happening???

help. lol

Epub3 and Kindle (mobi) are File Types that use (a copy of) the Ebook Compile Format, other than a Word or PDF Compile Formats, so it’s not strange differences in compilation results exist.
The filter above the right-hand side column of the Compile Overview window might have effect on what part of an manuscript is compiled.
The Ebook Compile Format uses the stylesheet visible in the CSS pane in the Compile Format Designer, which influences the way the text is shown, including whether titles or chapter numbers are shown. Usually these are set in the Title Options tab in the Section Layouts pane in the Compile Format Designer, so definitely check those out…

Hope this helps
