compiling for Kobo - font issue on Koko iOS app

Hi there,

Avid Scrivener user since three years, I’ve just encountered an odd problem with my epubs on Kobo iOS app: I just can’t change the font of the text on this app, although with the same epub, I have no problem on my Kobo Aura…
This is the first page on the iOS app:

And this is the same page on the Kobo aura:

In other words: font changing does not work on the iOS Kobo app.

I’ve checked for the compiling option “include standard Abode Digital Editions page template” (which wasn’t) as I’ve found it was recommended when not publishing on iBooks: no effect.

Odd thing: the title page (coming from Front matter/e-book, not the manuscript part) is selected in the content with “As-Is” checked and guess what ? This page appears fine both on Kobo aura and on the iOS kobo app ! On this specific page, I can change the font without problems.
I could check all the manuscript content with “As-Is” but I suspect it’s not the right way to do it…
EDIT: just tried and it totally screwed the chapter titles, on the table of content and at the beginning of each chapters :frowning:

I’m pretty sure I’m missing something, but I can’t figure out what it is…

I’ve just tried to uncheck the “override text and notes formatting” on the Formatting options before compiling, and it did the trick: the text appears just right in the Kobo iOS app and on the Kobo e-reader. However, I’d like to be sure this is the correct way to solve that matter.

Any tips would be highly appreciated. However I suspect that most buyers are reading from their Kobo e-reader, I’d like to have the most perfect output also on iOS devices…

Second problem:
There is also one more thing: my chapters titles (in fact, they’re just numbers), do only appear centered on the Kobo e-reader if and only if the “publisher option” is selected on the Kobo devices text alignment options. When I select left or justified, the chapter number moves to the left…
I use on the Formatting compiling options the following Title Prefix: <$n:chapter>.
Is there a way to have the chapter “titles” always on center ? I’ve already checked the Preserve Alignment in text Formatting override option but not the “centered text only”…

Thanks in advance for your help solving these two annoying matters…

I’m auto-quoting myself…

=> I must have dreamt it :frowning: it didn’t. and as I use into my chapters some * centered to separate parts of the chapter, not preserving alignment is an issue.
