Composition mode & Grammerly configuration

Is there anyway to configure Scrivener to block Grammarly while in Composition mode on a Mac?

One of the main reasons I use Scrivener is to remove all distractions while I write, and it has been a godsend - as long as I quit Grammarly before I start writing. I’ve looked all over for a setting in Scrivener to stop or block G while in composition mode, but I have had no luck. Is this possible?

Thanks

Yes. Grammarly has an option to turn itself off for an hour. Right click on the Grammarly icon floating in Scrivener. Don’t turn it off permanently, else you need to go into the Grammarly app to reset it. You can repeat that if you’re still in Composition mode after an hour. Grammarly is a third-party app, and Scrivener has no control over it.

Thank you for your reply Revo. That is what I used to do to Grammarly, but since I spend hours at a time wrtiting or editing, it makes more sense to just quit Grammarly until I leave composition mode. I was hoping there was a setting in Scrivener that could ‘block’ Grammarly whenever it was in composition mode.

My apologies, but Im not sure if you are on the development team, but I was also wondering if Scrivener notified the Mac OS that it went into composition mode (via the AXFullScreen System event for example). If it did, then I could write an applescript to hook to it and fully automate the running & quitting of Grammarly whenever I went into composition mode.

I know its probably a long shot, but thought it was worth asking.

No, I’m not part of L&L. In terms of your second paragraph: I have no idea.
