Contents page now at front of ebook on compile

Ver 3.1.2 just updated
on compile to ebook format (epub) the table of contents from chapter headings is now at the beginning of the ebook

I have tried to place the Contents page with <$toc> at the correct position in the book, but this does not work. Have used a Contents folder with a sub text file also named Contents as per manual, but then I do not get a table of contents at all

Has something broken with the update?

Nothing changed in this regard. Some e-readers put the built-in ToC at the front of the book no matter what - could this be it? Could you post a sample project showing the issue?
