Hi guys, I am using Scrivener 3, and Bookends 13.06 as my reference manager. I usually compile to Mac Word, and then Scan in Word.
The problem? I’ve been writing a conference paper, using APA in-text referencing. Belatedly, I’ve noticed that the conference requires Chicago referencing, which uses footnotes. Is there a way to convert all my references to Chicago, instead of re-inserting them?
I think you will have to do this manually I’m afraid
. I did write a script to do something similar some time ago, but it depends on using a Pandoc workflow (because the intermediate between Scrivener and Word is a text file and therefore easier to parse)…
In the future, it may be better to write your citations using footnotes, and then you may be able to “inline” convert the footnotes more easily than the other way round (or if you switch to Pandoc, then you don’t even need to scan in Word as Pandoc generates references directly).
