I’m not sure what’s going on, and it is probably something I’m doing, but I recently compiled a long document from Scrivener to Word format for my editor. The problem now is that there are several sections where the italics in the source document (Scrivener) have not appeared in the Word document. If it didn’t use italics at all, then that would be one thing, but it permits some and then ignores others. What should I do?
Can I guess that you used a “Body” style? If so that’s your problem. The style will be set to “Regular“ and the compiler will respect the style setting, so any italics or bold will be removed, because they are different font variants from Regular.
