Copy/mirror corkboard contents in document

I enjoy using corkboard cards to take notes. I’d also like these notes to appear in the document itself. Is there a way to automatically copy the contents of the corkboard into the respective documents, without copying and pasting from each card?

Thank you in advance!

Assuming you’re taking the notes on the cards themselves, i.e. the synopsis area, you can do this when you’ve finished taking the notes by selecting the cards on the corkboard and then choosing Documents > Auto-Fill > Append Synopses to Main Text.

It’s not an automatic process, so additional notes you add to the synopses won’t then be added to the document, and if you repeat the Append action the entire synopsis will be re-added, including the notes you’d previously appended, so you’ll likely want to wait to do this until the card is complete. You can of course always copy and paste to update individual sections later. If you open the document in the editor and view its card in the inspector on the right (Navigate > Inspect > Notes), you can easily copy and paste or drag and drop from the synopsis to the document.

Thank you! That’s just what I needed to know. Much appreciated.

Without actually editing the underlying documents, you can also create an output file that contains the corkboard contents, for instance if you want a Synopsis Outline. Make sure whatever Section Layout you are using includes the Synopsis field.
