Corkboard from old version only

I want to print index cards from the corkboard, but the corkboard is showing synopses from an old, six month old version, never the current version. I have thrown out ALL my snapshots of many previous versions but the corkboard will not show the synopses of my current version. Do I have to re-create the synopsis with every edit? Your advice please.

First, click on the File menu, hold down the Option key, and select the “Save and Rebuild Search Indexes” function. For the sake of speed, some text in the project window will use the search index instead of going through all of the individual text files that store data, such as index card files. If the search index is out of date, then so will be things like tooltips, corkboard, outliner synopses and a few other things like that. Since you don’t mention the text itself being out of date, this is the most likely problem.

If that doesn’t update the text of the synopses though, the next thing to do is File ▸ Find all projects in Spotlight, and look for a newer version of this project. Since Scrivener doesn’t store anything older than what you did a few seconds ago, within the project itself, it’s actually impossible for it to dig up six month old data, and cases like this are nearly always one of having opened an old copy of the project on accident.

Either way, you may want to follow the instructions in the user manual, under §5.2.3, Restoring from Backups, at least up to the point of setting aside a copy of your most recent backups before you do any more opening and closing. For one thing a backup from earlier today or yesterday might be better, but for another thing it sounds like you just deleted all of your Snapshots and you might not want to really do that (index cards will never use snapshot text, so erasing all of that wasn’t necessary and you might come to regret it).
