Could not find document during epub windows compile

I’ve continued to receive and error when compiling epub in windows.
Could not load document “Untitled” I’ve rebooted several times. Don’t know how to find the file, or what I should do with this problem.

----------------------------------------------------

RTF Reader failed loading document file: ‘G:/My Drive/Documents on PC/Asas Personal Writing/Forethought Story.scriv/Files/Data/1AA8B2FC-83A9-4E77-8D56-582853FE5756/content.rtf’

Error: Unmatched ‘{’ in Rich Text file. RTF file position: 2745

The error message is giving you an address, on your computer, to where the problem file resides. What I would do is close the project, and then:

  1. First, in File Explorer, navigate to the location of the “Forethought Story.scriv” folder, right-click on it, and send it to a compressed zip file. Set that aside, it’s a backup copy in case you need it.
  2. Now go into the Files/Data/… folder the error lists, and drag this “content.rtf” file out of the project. I’d drop it on the desktop for now.

Open the project, and you should now be able to compile and work around where this content was without errors. Of course the content will be gone, you will see a blank page icon in the binder where it was. You may try opening this RTF file in LibreOffice or Word and see if it can repair it—or if it opens it without problems, try copy and paste back into Scrivener. To avoid complexities, I would use the Paste and Match Style command in Scrivener, which strips all formatting, treating it as though you copied and pasted the text through Notepad.
