I made the mistake of fiddling with my finished ebook and tried making a tweak to the cover (amended in photoshop and then dragged in). Everything looks right but the cover is no longer showing in the compile. I tried reverting to the old cover and then the default cover - moving both from trash and into my ebook folder (with the dedication) within the Front Matter folder. Each time the cover is not showing - although the dedication is. Include in compile is ticked. I have tried everything I can think of. Anybody have any tips?
Thanks. Yep the cover is showing in the cover image drop down and I can click on it but it still refuses to turn up in the compile list. It’s weird.
Actually if I compile it from that page it looks like I can force the cover to turn up in the compile. It is still not showing in the compile list but I can live with that. Thanks again - you’re a lifesaver.
It shouldn’t show up in the compile list, if by that you mean the Contents tab. The cover image isn’t technically content, in the sense of something that would be potentially in the ToC, or that the book reader would page to (though some readers will insert it at the very beginning, as a kind of pseudo-page). It is more akin to catalogue metadata; what gets used in book listings on the device, store pages, and so forth.
