Cover page not showing in compiled output

I tried to replace the default image for Cover, but I couldn’t find a way to remove it without sending Cover to Trash and creating a new Cover. That I’ve done and inserted it ahead of Dedication, but when I compile to ebook or PDF there’s no sign of the cover image.

The cover in Frontmatter is not used kin PDFs, but in e-books it’s either the first or a named inage inside the Frontmatter folder. Tick the checkbox at the bottom of the right-hand side column of the Compile Overview window and point it to the Frontmatter folder. In the E-book Compile format, five tab should show above that same column, and one of those is for e-book covers. Your image should show there for this to work.

Sorry for not replying to this. I tried what you suggested without success, but I’ve been sidetracked on other work, so it may be another day or two before I get around to this issue again.

Under the Manuscript Format in Front Matter, I have:
Cover
Title Page

Compile For is ePub3. In the Compile window, I have ticked Cover, Title Page, and then chapters. I’ve ticked Add front matter and selected Manuscript Format.

The resulting epub shows Contents, and then the Cover page.

How do I get Cover as the first page?

Oh, you don’t , because that Contents page is for e-readers only. If you really want this, install Sigil, and drag the Toc.xhtml file up. But in that case, removing it from the Spine in the content.opf file seems a better option.
