I’ve been a dedicated Scrivener user on Apple for many years - and now I’ve got an HP Elitebook with a fresh install of Ubuntu and a whole bunch to learn about a new operating system. I’m hoping I can use Wine to run the Windows build of Scrivener 3, sync with DropBox the same way I do to access files on my iPhone and iPad, and then everything should be gravy. But before I shell out $50 for yet another iteration of Scrivener, has anyone had this work? I definitely see folks using Scrivener on Linux systems - but I’m primarily in need of the cross-platform capabilities and I’m literally just learning my way around Ubuntu.
Note that you don’t need to buy a license until you’ve got it working. The trial version is fully functional and will work just fine to test this.
Oh, heck, I totally forgot about that and you are so right.
