On opening Scrivener 3, which automatically loads my three last-opened projects into tabs, I begin typing into a multiple selection opened as scrivenings. I can type about a half dozen characters before the cursor jumps to the title of the final document in the scrivenings. Of course, I lose my train of thought, and it’s a hassle finding where I was actually typing.
My guess is that you unknowingly happen to touch the track pad with your hand. I do this with my left hand from time to time… and it makes the cursor jump
It’s unlikely, because the cursor jumps pages down, down to a place that’s far, far offscreen, and I have to scroll back and search to find where I was.
I have this exact same problem: I start to type and then the cursor jumps down to the very last page in the Scrivenings view and I have to scroll way back up to where I was, just at the moment when I am writing. What is the solution?
Same problem. When I first start editing a document I get the spinning beach ball for a few seconds, then whatever I was typing appears at or near the end of the document. I’m using a Mac Mini, Mojave, and latest Scrivener. But I’m almost certain that it began before Mojave. It only happens the first time I begin editing. After that initial problem, it works fine.
