Would it be possible to consider including more options for magnification? For me, the sweet spot is often somewhere between 250 and 350 percent.
Better yet, let us customize the magnification options, cuz, ya know, Scrivener is a professional tool…
Having more magnification options would make it easier to keep my font sizes at more suitable settings, which is helpful for printing out interim versions of documents. Though, since we aren’t supposed to be too concerned with text formatting in Scrivener, I guess that tweaking the magnification and font size settings provides a good workaround.
Thanks for your consideration. I look forward to the upcoming version!
300% is coming in the next update, but custom magnification is not - although I will be happy to consider it down the line, around 2.1 or 2.2.
Thanks,
Keith
This has been discussed before, and some of us have found a happy compromise. Change the font size in Scrivener to be many points larger than they are now. Then you can zoom down from there using smaller increments than are available in the upper echelons of the zoom settings.
When you’re ready to compile your manuscript, just replace those font settings with whatever you want your readers to see on the output.
That is certainly another option. Custom magnification is on the list for the future, though - there just wasn’t time to add it for 2.0 (currently it’s slated for 2.1).
Best,
Keith
