Deauthorizing / Authorising

Hello, do I have to deauthorise Scrivener when putting it on another computer? Are there limited installs to myself? thank you.

I’ve done a clean OS install twice in the past six months without deauthorising–that’s a complete wipe of OS, applications and data. Scrivener hasn’t complained each time it was reinstalled. It does ask for your licence though, so keep that on hand.

Thank you so much for your help

Well, you can deactivate your Scrivener installation through the Help menu. But it’s not really necessary with the family license L&L uses.

Thank you for your reply AntoniDoil

There will come a point when it says too many installations but iMessage to support will resolve that.

if you are disposing of a computer it make sense to de-authorise all apps with that option as not all software companies are as responsive as L&L

Thank you RuffPub. Is that iMessage a number or an email address?

My apologies, rushing a comment before heading out and a decided lack of checking. ‘a message to support’
