I’m using Scrivener in the UK and I’m bothered by all the British spellings being underlined as errors. Is there some way to install a British English Dictionary please?

Hi OptikaNET, and welcome to the forum.

These steps will allow you to change the dictionary Scrivener is using:

  1. Launch Scrivener
  2. Go to File > Options > Corrections > Spelling
  3. Click the “Download” button next to the Dictionary language box
  4. Select your language of choice and click “Download.”
  5. Click “Close” when the download has completed.
  6. Click “Select” and click on the language dictionary you would like to use.
  7. Click “Okay.”

You may need to restart Scrivener just to ensure the changes are applied.
