Distraction free enhancement - Max lines (height)

One thing I have been looking for is the ability to use software with a max number of lines displayed at a time. I get what focus mode does, but here, it would be like the width setting, but height and be in the center of the screen.

The goal here is for when starting new work and you just want to see a small section of 7-10 lines that aren’t based on anything but the number of lines. A bunch of friends swear by the Alphasmart Neo2 only showing a few really helping them to stay focused and not wandering back with their eyes as much.

Composition mode is SO close to being perfect for this. (Even now, it is really good).

Thanks for considering this feature!

In Composition Mode, do you see the Paper Width slider down at the bottom? If you don’t, drag your mouse down to the bottom of the screen.

Then hold the Alt key to turn it into a Paper Height slider.

And then use a picture of the Neo as background + change the colors to black on “LCD green”.

Wow! I had NO idea that the feature already existed! Not even sure how I would have found that but just tested it out and it is EXACTLY what I wanted. Everyday Scrivener be demonstrating how it’s exactly what I wanted.

@November_Sierra I did find a problem for OSX that turns a terminal into an old school CRT display in green  And yes, I almost did install it, hahah.

Knock. Knock. Neo.

Once you have Paper Height set up the way you want, try it with Typewriter Scrolling enabled.
