Do registrations disappear after some time?

I bought and paid for Scrivener back in 2017 and tried to update to the new one. When i tried to activate with my old license number it told me it failed. I realize it’s an old license but i assumed i would get a discount for a new one.
I wasn’t sure if i made a mistake so i went through the “recover lost license” and used the same email i used to buy it before (and i still have the old receipt email from them). I got an email from Paddle that said “You have no order history for Literature & Latte.” which is demonstrably false.
Anyone have any idea what’s going on

Nothing’s ‘going on’.

Did you use the ‘orders before June 2019 search box?’ L&L changed licence management company when the original went out of business.

Failing that, use the Contact Us to ask them as they do not discuss licensing on the forum for privacy reasons.

Your receipt email will tell you whether the license you have is for Scrivener 2 or Scrivener 3. Since it isn’t working, I’m going to assume it’s for Scrivener 2: follow the upgrade instructions above.
