Does Scrivener on iOS open .opml?

I can see from the manual for Mac OS Scrivener, that it opens opml files. But when I try it on iOS Scrivener the files are greyed out. This is opml files from 2 different apps. Should it be working?

(I only have the iOS version, but was looking through the main manual for other info)

Thanks

Scrivener won’t open OPML files, but it will import them.

To import in iOS Scrivener, use the “import” icon below the Binder.

Sorry, I was using “open” in a generic way. We’re talking about the small square with an inward pointing arrow at the bottom of the Binder panel, yes? That’s what I was using, and in the file panel that opens up, the opml file I want to import is greyed out.

The mobile version lacks the ability to convert OPML data to a binder outline, or to indeed import arbitrary file types it doesn’t know how to display or work with, so that is why it is greyed out, along with .scap file, .zip files and other things you might usefully import in the desktop version. I’m not sure why that particular restriction exists.

Thanks for that. That’s a drag, but i can still export the files i want to load as .md, and then sort them out in Scrivener. If it gets to be too much of a drag, then I’ll spring for the MAc version.
