Hi there, apologies for probably asking a question that is likely answered, but Google’s AI solutions couldn’t identify a work-around. The problem is that I wish to insert an image (standard .jpg) in a footnote (destined to be an endnote in eBook format), and it works, along with text, but unfortunately the compiled version has two images. I’ve tried eliminating empty spaces after the text, and also tried just the image by itself (Inserted from file), but the double image remains. Will I have to live with two images in my final eBook, or is there a formatting trick that I can use to elicit only the one image as I desire?

Just to report that I may have figured out a work-around to the double image issue. I’ve left the footnote (endnote) as a text, with a pointer to a MAPS folder (my images are sketch maps) so that (i) there’s a footnote mark in the main text to alert the reader to further information; and (ii) the three individual maps have their own section which can be reached from the menu at the front (iii) the MAPS folder is right at the end nearly beside the NOTES section, so it can be paged over to reach if the reader wants to access the information via the footnote marker in the main body of the text. Incidentally, in their own ‘scene’ document, the images are presented as single items. That’s probably good enough for what I want to do.
