I switched to Macbook Air from Windows and am trying to set up my Editor window. I notice that the Fixed Width Background tiles my background photo and it scrolls the background when I scroll in my Editor pane. They are locked together.
Is this the way it is supposed to be? It seems it would have a FIXED background that doesn’t scroll.

Hi BigJohn. The behavior you’re seeing is the expected behavior.
The “fixed” part of that setting refers only to its width, not how it behaves on the screen.
I typically recommend that users select a texture for that fixed width background that doesn’t show the tiling as much. Something like a parchment or leather background where the tiling isn’t as noticeable.
Where I use an actual photo is in the background on the composition mode, which will keep the background stationary and not tiled.
