I’ve started writing what will be a fairly lengthy book and would like to have my endnotes grouped by page ranges. As an example, say I have a sub-chapter named “John Cannon” that is 20 pages long, pp. 34-53, with 48 notes. I want all of the footnotes/endnotes in that page range to appear with the title “John Cannon” in the Notes section at the end of the book. I have the notes at the end, but they increment from the number 1 to 252 so far. Is this possible? I watched a number of videos and didn’t see anything that addressed this question. Maybe I missed something …
Scrivener can’t split endnotes up between chapters with numbering restart. I do that post-compile in Nisus Writer Pro, where it’s a simple matter of making each chapter a separate section and setting the endnote style accordingly. I’m sure it would be equally straightforward in Word or LibreOffice.

Thank you, Mark. I suppose that is why this issue is not addressed anywhere I looked. I’ll investigate how it might be done in Word or LibreOffice, both of which I have.
