Endnotes in one document, separated by chapter headings with restarting numbers

I am writing a non-fiction book with many endnotes. It is the fashion these days to gather them all together in a Notes section at the the end of the text, separated into groups by chapter title, with the numbering starting at 1 for each of these groups. Will Scrivner do this, and if so, how do I set this up?

Simple answer no it can’t. Compile to RTF or DOCX and then reset it in your word processor, which I hope would be straightforward.

I use Nisus Writer Pro, where it’s pretty easy; I don’t know about Word or LibreOffice. Mellel should be straightforward too.
