ePub auto-generated TOC now showing first scene in addition to each chapterp

I’ve been mucking with separators today, and somehow I screwed up the auto generated TOC:

before today it would just show each chapter, now it’s showing the first scene as well. How can I tell Scrivener to not print the first scene in the auto TOC?

I think I just answered my own question.
Formats > Separators > Section Text> Separator before sections: I changed to section break, which looks nice, but then alters the TOC.
