I have been using Scrivener for some time to write articles or essays. I would like to know if there is a macro or a software to import an “epub” file directly into Scrivener without using the “doc” format of Word?
There are probably no macros for this, at least in the traditional definition, as you’re talking more about a document converter than a sequence of actions that can be taken by yourself, that a macro would automate doing for you.
As to that though: Calibre is what I would go with. When it comes to ebooks, it’s a Swiss Army Knife of a tool, handling everything from conversion to inline editing to device and book library management to reading and annotating.
I would suggest using its conversion to RTF. That is Scrivener’s native format, and so will produce the best results in most cases.
Thanks for the reply. I also use Caliber, which is very useful for managing my personal ebook library, along with Sigil and other software.
Thanks also for the tip on RTF.
