Evernote to Scrivener Video -take a look at this

Hi, I am new to Scrivener and for a long time I have been collecting ALL my research material in Evernote.

Right now I am in the process of creating a Success Journal Product and I found myself dragging all the gathered information to scrivener.

Having an integration between this 2 programs would be such a time saver!!!

I think I have seen this topic discussed elsewhere in this forum, but because I am including a video to show how time consuming it is to accomplish this manually, I decided to create a different topic.

See this short video and hopefully Keith will notice how great it would be to create some sort of “linkage” between scrivener and evernote like other programs as “curio” has done it.

Here it is:

Welcome to the forums, and to Scriv.

Of course, for me, it would be incredibly time-consuming to implement such a big feature that I would never use myself.

Thanks for the video - the thread for this is just here:

I will certainly look into possible ways of making it easier to go back and forth between the programs in the future. I’m scheduling looking at this for around version 2.3 or 2.4 (although “looking at it” doesn’t necessarily mean doing anything  ). There is already a vast amount to do that is more important before that. I can pretty much guarantee that you wouldn’t be able to drag a notebook in and have it automatically sync inside Scrivener, though. I would look at allowing drag and drop from Evernote directly into Scrivener, as an import - anything else is really beyond Scrivener’s scope. And while I do understand that a handful of users really want this integration, ultimately with finite time I am unable to program Scrivener to suit every single user’s possible workflow.

But as I say, I will certainly look into what can be done with Evernote after 2.0 is out, a couple of updates down the line afterwards.

Thanks and all the best,
Keith

Keith, thanks for your fast response.

I understand what you are saying.

If doing the synchronization is hard to do, then of course, being able to drag and drop into scrivener from evernote will be a God sent.

I will post a note on the other thread so others could also see your response.

I am looking forward to version 2 and yes! to version 2.4

Again, thanks.
