exporting to multimarkdown: insert a newline?

While I’m working out how I’m going to incorporate Scrivener into my mmd workflow, is there any way to tell Scrivener to insert a newline at the end of each paragraph? I’m looking to achieve the double newline that marks paragraphs in md/mmd documents. I know I could effect this through a bash script probably, but was hoping for a built-in solution…

Hi,

I’m not quite sure I follow you. Do you mean whilst editing? Instead of hitting the return key twice? Or upon export?

All the best,
Keith

Upon export.

(As it turns out, I may have an in-app workaround, so this may be not a big deal.)

You can set up export (Compile Draft) to insert newlines between the different documents. It can’t insert newlines between paragraphs that don’t have newline separators within a document, though. Actually, the next update allows you to set it so that paragraph spacing can be converted to newlines, but I’m not sure how useful that will be for MMD.
All the best,
Keith

I would imagine that inserting newlines for paragraph spacing should be exactly perfect. What MMD wants is two newline markers in a row in order to know it’s dealing with a new paragraph, yes?
