I often have to compile hundreds of pages into .fdx files. However I have to click every single page I wish to export individually. This is very slow and very irritating. Please have it so you can click and drag to highlight the tick boxes. I think this is a great app for writing and I use it all the time. More frequent updates and perhaps an overhaul of the design would be nice (feels a little dated).
Hi jrogue70, and welcome to the forum.
In Scrivener on a Mac, you can use the Mac’s Shift+Click or Cmd+Click to select a group of documents on the main File > Compile
panel’s list.
Then, you can right-click on that list and select the “Include in Compile” option to have all the highlighted documents ticked (or unticked, as the case may be).
Are you Compiling or Exporting? These are two different functions in Scrivener.
Compiling multiple Scenes at once is the default behavior, and subsections of your script are filtered using the filter above the right hand side column in the Compile Overview. No need to “click every single page” before compiling…
Also check the setting at the top of the Contents list in the main compile overview screen, and make sure it isn’t set to “Current Selection”. While that is a very useful feature for compiling bits and pieces, it would quickly become a nuisance if all you generally want is the entirety of the Draft folder.
