It would be beneficial to have a feature that allows me to search and replace all documents and folders. This would be useful for renaming a main character, so I don’t have to hunt through every single document to change the name.
I’m honestly a little surprised I can’t do this currently. I’m not the only one who renames characters and places as they write.
Edit → Find → Replace in Project.
Make a backup first: it’s not undoable.
Technically, it is not undoable, but you can do another project replace and change it back. Or do a backup/restore. Either one.
By the way, that’s a great, great feature. I have wanted that in a writing tool for SO LONG. I’m blown away by what Scrivener can do. It makes me happy, and even better, it makes me want to write!
