Hello! So I’ve recently had to make the switch back to win from mac and purchased the Scrivener win v3.
Is it supposed to move focus to the top of the page every time I insert a table? The cursor doesn’t move, just the focus. I have version 3.1.6.0, Page View is turned off, and it does this in Documents and Outliner views. Is this a bug, is it meant to do this, or am I doing something wrong?
It’s definitely not supposed to do that. This is a bug that we already have logged in the system.
Workaround: as with the Mac, there is a shortcut for scrolling back to the cursor point if you move away, or if the software moves you away, in Edit ▸ Find ▸ Jump to Selection. So that will bring you back to the table after using the command.
We have made some fixes since then that relate to scrolling and undo, particular on formatted text, which have the same symptoms. I’ll add a note to check and see if this is fixed under those changes, or if not, if they can be used to more easily fix it.
Thank you so much for replying and letting me know I’m not going crazy LOL. Coming from the Mac version that didn’t do this, I thought it was some setting I had accidentally set
Edit: thank for the workaround. Usually I just hit the space bar, though.
