Font Change When Inserting Date/Time

If I start a new document and the first thing I do is insert the current date/time from the edit menu, the font used is Helvetica, even though Courier is the default font set in preferences. Helvetica stays set for all subsequent typing. If I type a word or two before inserting the date, the inserted date will be in Courier. I have tried this in two project and am seeing the same behavior in both of them. I don’t use Helvetica in any of the font settings in the program preferences.

Another, minor thing: the date format is year, month, day. As far as I can tell, my system is set up for month/day/year. Is there a choice of formats?

Thanks,
Margaret

Hi,

This is because the date gets inserted without any formatting. This means it will take the format of the current text - or use the default Apple format if not (Helvetica 12 point). I’ve fixed this to use Scrivener’s defaults for beta 3.

The format, unfortunately, doesn’t rely on your system settings. Not sure if there is an easy way of doing this.

Thanks,
Keith

Actually, I’m beginning to like the date format the way it is, so no problem.

Thanks,
Margaret
