I use Scrivener for Windows on Linux using Wine/Bottles. It has worked fine (a little slow, but that might be my computer set up). Since updating to 3.1.6 I can n o longer start the application: When loading the splash screen, the icons load, but the fonts don’t, and the process freezes. Can anyone suggest a solution? Do I need to change the settings in the Bottle? Please.
Likely you need to delete the ‘texttospeech’ folder in the installation directory. The presence of the DLLs in there can halt launch on systems completely lacking the Windows speech infrastructure. It’s the kind of thing that can come back after an update, and worth having a sticky note somewhere about.

Scrivener works fine on Mint Linux using Lutris, without that font issue.
