Font switching back to another one

I chose a different font than the default one for all my projects. It works fine except that when I use quote marks, it switches back to Helvetica when I close the quotes, which is another font than the one I have set.
Anyway to fix this?

Have you redefined the Scrivener-wide default formatting? If not, once you’ve formatted one paragraph to work the way you want, you can use the Project → Project Settings → Formatting pane to make it the default for this project, or Scrivener → Scrivener Preferences → Editing → Formatting to make it the default Scrivener-wide.

Are you using smart quotes? And if so, does the font you’re using support them?

It’s all set correctly already. And I think you’re right, the font does not actually support smart quotes. It’s Metropolis. I changed to any others to check and the switch doesn’t occur… so that would explain the issue.

Yep, that would do it. If a glyph isn’t available in the current font, Helvetica is the fall back option.
