Footer Bar Vanished

Hi there! I’m not sure if this is a persistent bug or not, but I’ve only just noticed it on my end. The footer bar in my Scrivener app (ver 3.1.5.1, for reference) is missing. I first noticed this when trying to look up the project’s word count at the bottom where it’s usually located, to no avail. The Footer Bar is checked/ticked in the Editor Layout, but nothing shows on my end, regardless. Before posting here, I searched the forum pages for any solutions, some of which suggested that it might be related to scriptwriting mode being active. I have used that in the past and have since checked if it was still active, but the issue seems to persist. Has anybody had a similar issue, or is it just me?

I’ve also noticed that the PDF Display section in View doesn’t open up to anything like it used to.

My guess is you are in Scriptwriting mode by accident. Use the menu command Format > Scriptwriting to exit this mode.

Could it be that the main Scrivener window is shifted down a little?
You’d have the very bottom hidden behind the OS’ taskbar.

The other possibility would be that you are actually viewing your content in a copyholder, placed at the bottom and taking the whole space. Although in this case one would have to wonder how you navigate from a document to another, since a copyholder doesn’t respond to standard document selection. (You could tell by having 2 header bars to your editor.)
