For scriptwriting - color coded scripts and script timing

I’d like to request two features for scriptwriting, both which exist in other dedicated screenwriting programs.

First, the ability to color code the script, to make it easier to differentiate between characters, locations, dialogue, action, etc. It doesn’t need to export with colors (although that could be possible too) but it might be useful for quickly glancing at a script and seeing the structure.

Second, estimation of the time of each scene/script. While of course this can’t be perfect, making some kind of guess based on the length of the dialogue and other factors like number of pages, etc. would be very helpful. I’m sure there are various formulas out there, although testing them on existing screenplays with known movie lengths would be useful for tuning.

See Format > Scriptwriting > Script Settings. There you can choose a colour for the text of all your script elements if you so wish, and you can have the colour removed during Compile if you want.

There are no plans for adding a time estimation, though, I’m afraid. The standard way of calculating the time of a script is simply one minute per page.
