From Scrivener to Word

Good afternoon everybody, I am a french Scrivener user and I come to you for the following reason : I have been working on both Latex and Scrivener for years now, but I had to move to Word for Mac recently. Therefore, I have to reformat entirely my work. It is not too much difficult, but I would like to be able to do that : exporting my work from Scrivener to Word and applying my stylesheet. I know it is not an easy task. But does someone know how to do it ? Is there any tutorial which would indicate the way ? Thanks so much for your help !

Getting your manuscript from Scrivener to Word is easy. That’s what the Compile function is for. Compile is discussed in detail in Chapter 24 of the Scrivener manual. There are also several tutorials on the Compile function on this page: literatureandlatte.com/videos.php

Converting Scrivener formatting to Word styles is a little trickier, since Scrivener doesn’t understand stylesheets in the same way that Word does. But it’s something that a lot of people are interested in doing, and so there are some good suggestions in this thread:

Alternatively, as a LaTeX user, you might want to consider using MultiMarkdown to compile to Open Document Format (ODF), which will preserve your stylesheet. See Chapter 22 of the manual for more information about MMD.
