Front Matter Ghost?

My apologies if this has been covered before, I did check.

I didn’t have. Front Matter folder in my project so I dragged an old one from another. project, but when I tried to compile (to paperback) it would only show the default pages, not the changes I’d made nor the table of contents I added and it was all marked for compelling in the metadata,

I deleted the Front Matter folder and tried a compile, to see what would happen and, even though there was no Front Matter folder it still compiled the default Front Matter!

I’ve searched every folder, in case it was nested as a subfolder, but I can’t find it anywhere and now I’m stumped!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

When you bring up the compile window, do you see anything that might be your “default” front matter document in the list on the right?

Do you have the Add Front Matter checkbox (on the bottom right area of that window) checked? If so, use the drop-down list to discover where in your project it is, so you can remove it, and/or select your new front matter folder/document from there.

Thank you so much for your help! When I checked the dropdown menu I saw there were two Front Matter folders (although the other one wasn’t visible anywhere) and now I’ve selected the correct folder, and it worked properly. Thanks again, I’m very grateful
