Full integration of Scapple with Scrivener

You can already do that, at least on the Mac. Just import the board into the Research folder. Scrivener will display the QuickLook preview (which, admittedly, may or may not be legible depending on the complexity of the board). If that’s not enough, it’s just one click to open the board in Scapple.

What did you use to block out portions of the app? I used to have something that did that but it’s no longer on my Mac after I reset the whole thing to factory settings last Oct. (plus, I’m too lazy to dig thru backups  )

Preview has basic edit/annotation tools. So when I screenshot, just tap the pen icon to show editing tools, and I mask bits of the image & save.

Hmm, is it about not overcomplicating Scrivener or the code behind it? Because for the user interface, it would be literally one button, maybe one menu-point for the “notes”-menu in Scapple.

But it was just a topic for the wishlist. If no one except me - and the original poster of this - wishes for it, then thats the result.

But to be honest, with the price for both combined now at about 93 Euros, your software is coming close to a point on which it could be fairly compared to other premium software. And I think, this combination would be a great update.

No, it really wouldn’t. If you want the notes in a Scapple to connect to items in Scrivener, you’d have to completely rework how Scapple works.

If you don’t, then what’s the point? You’d just be wedging a completely separate tool into a window in Scrivener.

Thanks, that’ll work. The one I used had the function of screening out a portion of the desktop when you are in a Zoom/Google Meet, etc. call. (Never really needed that, so I’ll just use your method.)
