Full screen bug - Windows 10

I am using Scrivener on 1.9.7.0 on Windows 10 (fully updated). My monitor is at 2560 x 1440. Full-screen mode (entered by F11) seems to have one or two bugs:

Ongoing bug: 1. The window is only about 3/4 of the display width, with about 1/8 of the display width still visible (though dimmed) on either side of the ostensibly full-screen window.
Vanished bug: 2. When I used full-screen the first couple of times, the menu at the bottom of the screen appeared briefly then disappeared forever. It did not reappear when I moused over the bottom of the screen. This bug seems to have fixed itself after I interacted with the bottom-screen menu upon its initial appearance very briefly, by clicking on a drop-down menu very fast, before the bar disappeared. Since doing that, the bottom-screen menu behaves normally. So this is weird behavior, even though it’s no longer a problem.

Thoughts on the first issue?

Hello there,
You are using the paper width and background fade as found on the bottom menu of full screen to good effect? Your issue sounds like you have not adjusted the visible paper width and the background is adjustable from dimmed all the way through so that you can load a background scene should you so wish (View/ Full screen backdrop menu ) This is not a bug, it is a feature of the software.
