Full Screen Error [BUG LOGGED]

Running: Windows XP Home Tablet Addition
I have all the latest updates and service packs
Running the October 29th Scrivener update

Procedure:

  1. Entered Scrivenings
  2. Entered full screen mode
  3. Selected one document (as in clicking on it to begin typing.)
  4. Exited full screen mode
  5. Re-entered full screen mode
  6. Selected the same or any other document

What it’s doing: I receive the error message “Scrivener.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.”
Error Signature: AppName: scrivener.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: qtcore4.dll
ModVer: 4.7.0.0 Offset: 000ee968

Further Information: I experienced a major crash earlier today (“Major Scrivener Crash” thread), but that has not seemed to have any effect on the program since. I updated to the October 29th version immediately after the crash. Nothing was lost, and Scrivener has functioned normally except for this. Interestingly, it seems that it being in Scrivenings is a key factor, as is clicking on a file. It allowed me to enter and exit full screen numerous times and quite rapidly when not in Scrivenings, or even in Scrivenings if I did not select a file to begin working in. Amount of time between exiting and reentering full screen does not seem to matter. This occurred both in my own project and the tutorial file when tested.

I tried this process on my copy and it crashed as well.

My system info:

64 bit HP a4313w running Windows 7 Home Premium
AMD Sempron Processor LE-1250 2.20 GHz
2.75 usable RAM
Running Dual monitors via an Arkview 2.0 USB adapter, with Scrivener on primary monitor

Using Scrivener 1.2
I’ve added 3 folders and 16 files in varying arrangements of category and sub-category.
I’ve also added 3 new labels with color tweaks for push pins.

I followed the steps exactly as Cenneidi outlined them on how they got the crash and a pop up window appeared as soon as I clicked on the document as per step 6:

I tested the process as well, and got the same result.

-I had my screen split horizontally.
-Following the process exactly resulted in a crash as well as when I attempted to replicate it under normal working environments. ie: Full screen in scrivenings, typed for a few minutes, exited out, typed in the research document I had in the bottom panel, then went to go back into full screen in the scrivenings and clicked to continue working- crashed.

I’m on Windows 7 64bit, Beta 1.2
I have various documents and folders in my draft folder. I was using a folder containing two documents in scrivenings mode.

This might be related to the problem reported here:

https://forum.literatureandlatte.com/t/scrivener-crashes-in-fullscreen-mode-when-bug-logged/8858/1

The common thing seems to me is that we all run 64bit OS.

Thanks everyone. I have been able to reproduce this now because of this post. I’ll log it as a bug and fix soon. Thanks again:)

Same issue here, although I should point out that I’m NOT using a 64-bit OS. Using Vista 32.

Just in case it helps any.
